About Synnkune

SynnKune
was born in China and grew up in Hong Kong. He received
his BA in psychology from the University of Bridgeport,
Connecticut, U.S.A. He pursued graduate study in Counseling
Psychology at Fairfield University, Conn., and in Cultural
Psychology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
After traveling in Europe, he returned to Toronto, Canada to
study at the Ontario College of Art. For the past twenty
five years, SynnKune has exhibited internationally and his
paintings are in many private and corporate collections.
His most recent projects are Peace Installations in Grass
Valley, California and Guadalajara, Mexico.
A poet and a musician. His CD, Return
To The Boundless Light, is a 28 minute continuous soundscape
which creates a direct experience for meditation, relaxation
and chakra balancing. The CD is available for mail order.
Workshop Leader. Together with his wife, Dawn
Connolly, they created the concept of Living
in The Third alternative, helping people to achieve
personal freedom and finding solutions to problems.
Inner Vision Design SynnKune and Dawn apply Feng Shui
principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine to improve home and
office environments. Weekend workshops, personal and business
consultations are available.
Molecular Language SynnKune decoded the Chinese written
language into molecular form and formulated new interpretations of the
origin of the Chinese Culture. The molecular language concept found
its way into his paintings and resulted in an unique expression of
visionary art.
Sacred Site Exploration:
A. The Luminerias The Luminerias are seven crater lakes
which mirror the formation of the Big Dipper. For the past
seven years, SynnKune and Dawn had taken groups to explore the
Luminerias in Guanajuato, Mexico. Their story and the lives of
the people involed will be the subject of an upcoming book.
B. Pyramids in Mexico SynnKune had been to twenty pyramids
in Mexico with many mystical experiences - Teothihuacan, Xocicalco,
Malinalco, Tula, Tepozteco, El Tajin, Tsin Tsun Tsan, Palenque,
Chitchenitza, Tulum, Ek Balam, Uxmal, Dzibutchaltun .....
Peace Installation. It is based on the idea that peace is not
an outcome in an unknown future but an imperative to practice in the
now. Peace Installation is interactive earth art placed in communities
to help people to find personal inner peace and also link their
intention to world peace. Peace installation No.1 is in
Grass Valley, California. No.2 is in the Children Museum
of Jalisco in Guadalajara. SynnKune's vision is to build twelve
Peace Installations around the world.
In May, 2002, SynnKune and Dawn received an initiation from the Sivananda
tradition which had a profound experience in their lives. They were
given the names of Skanda for SynnKune and Devayani for
Dawn. Skanda and Devayani live in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
